Today, I will explain in detail the offset printing in "lithographic printing". Offset printing is the main packaging printing method in my country, accounting for more than 60% of the market share.

Substrate

The main substrates for offset printing are paper and PVC. Generally, the printable thickness is below 0.5mm.

Classification

Offset printing is divided by color and can be divided into single-color machines, two-color machines, four-color machines,s, and multi-color machines. The monochrome machine can only print 1 color at a time, and it is mostly used for printing manuals, tags, exercise books, carbonless paper, and other printed materials that do not require too many colors. The two-color machine can print 2 colors at a time, which is mostly used for printing manuals, tags, exercise books, carbonless paper, and other printed materials that do not require too many colors. Four-color printing machine is the most common printing machine, which can print 4 kinds of colors at the same time, generally, C, M, Y, and K color, and is mostly used for color prints such as books and periodicals, packaging, and leaflets. The multi-color machine can be assembled into 5 colors, 6 colors, 7 colors, 8 colors, etc. according to the requirements. In addition to the conventional C, M, Y, and K colors, it can also print spot colors at the same time, so that the spot colors and 4 colors can be printed at the same time. Thereby avoiding the problem of inaccurate nesting due to paper deformation. Mostly used for fine prints with spot colors.

size

Offset printing machines can be divided into 6 starts, 4 starts, pair starts, and full starts from the printing area. 6 According to different models, the maximum can be printed about 510x360mm; 4 According to different models, the maximum can be printed about 710x510mm; according to different models, the maximum can be printed about 1010X710mm; as long as the printing area is larger than the same type, the industry generally calls it full printing power on. Note: The fully open machine comes in a variety of sizes according to different brands and models.
